Laficaia Barolo DOCG 2017
Description
Barolo DOCG La Ficaia comes entirely from Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected by hand. Fermentation is made in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with 4-6 weeks of maceration in contact with the skins. After malolactic fermentation the wine ages for 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, for 4-6 months in steel and further in glass, before being placed on the market. It has a garnet red color with orange nuances that are accentuated with the passing of the years. On the nose it is ethereal, floral and fruity, with pleasant persistence. Warm, dry and harmonious, with sweet and complex tannins that make it a wine of rare austerity. It matches perfectly with roasts but this wine is an ideal combination with all game dishes.
