About
The family Schnaitmann was cultivating wine grapes for over 500 years in Fellbach. But the wine estate was founded not until in 1997, because Rainer Schnaitmann decided to make his own wines instead of delivering the grapes to the local wine-cooperative. In the early 1990s, convinced that the regional vineyards concealed even more potential, Rainer studied oenology and traveled New Zealand and the Trentino to learn how to make great wines. Already in 2006 he was invited to join the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates). His Pinot noir and Sauvignon blanc have achieved huge success throughout. But with every vintage Rainer Schnaitmann still strives for the creation of distinctive wines.
